Avalinto

Our Story

Avalinto didn't start with a sudden stroke of genius or a magical business plan. It started because we were frustrated with our own living room in Riga, Latvia.

We loved our IKEA Kallax for its practicality, but the open cubes felt chaotic, and the standard inserts available on the market didn't match the clean, premium aesthetic we wanted. We wanted our collection to look like it belonged in a high-end gallery, not a retail storage unit, but we couldn't justify throwing away perfectly good furniture just to buy expensive new cabinets.

Being stubborn about interior design, we decided to make the solution ourselves. We spent weeks measuring Kallax dimensions down to the millimeter, testing acrylic types, and ruining a lot of prototypes in our kitchen trying to get the perfect, tool-free snap fit.

Once we finally nailed a design that looked completely seamless, we realized this wasn't just our hyper-fixation—it was a massive gap in how people customize mass-produced furniture. Avalinto was built to bridge that gap

It all started just from the idea on how to make our own Kallax more premium.

What Next?

We aren’t interested in guessing what products to make next. Our roadmap is entirely dictated by the people who use our pieces.

Right now, we are focused on perfecting the Kallax setup - offering alot of customizations, but we are already analyzing data and feedback from our community to see where to go next. Whether it's designing custom additions for other iconic furniture lines, introducing new finishes, or creating specific dimensions requested by collectors, we let our customers drive our production line. You tell us what your space is missing, and we will engineer the exact piece to fit it, and maybe even send you one for free :)
